ADEX Group Takes Active Role at Belgrade Energy Forum 2025

Belgrade, May 15, 2025 — ADEX Group played a prominent role at the Belgrade Energy Forum 2025, one of Southeast Europe’s leading energy sector gatherings, held on May 14–15. The company was a key participant in the high-level panel discussion titled “Integration of Western Balkans Electricity Markets into the Internal European Market through Market Coupling”,  powered by ADEX and supported by SEEPEX as an institutional partner.

Anže Predovnik, Chairman of the Management Board, ADEX , shared insights from Slovenia’s early market coupling experience, highlighting its positive impact on market efficiency, transparency, and cross-border cooperation. He emphasized that integration not only enhances market development but also attracts a growing number of participants over time.

The session was moderated by Dejan Stojčevski, COO of SEEPEX, and also explored the upcoming implementation of the Carbon Border Adjustment Mechanism (CBAM), set to take effect in January 2026. Panelists discussed the potential implications of CBAM for electricity markets and regional industries, stressing the importance of collaboration and deeper understanding to mitigate potential negative effects.

The forum reaffirmed the region’s shared commitment to building a more connected, competitive, and sustainable electricity market.
