About

Company

The Alpine-Adriatic Danube Power Exchange (ADEX) is the first regional power exchange for Central and South-Eastern Europe. Established on December 23, 2022, in Ljubljana by ELES, EMS, and EPEX SPOT, the Group was formed following the merger of BSP and SEEPEX, with offices in Ljubljana and Belgrade.

In November 2024, ADEX merged with the Hungarian Power Exchange (HUPX), strengthening its position as the leading trading hub in the region. The merger enhanced market liquidity, efficiency, and price transparency.

Now headquartered in Budapest, ADEX is the sole shareholder of BSP, HUPX, and SEEPEX, with a focus on streamlining trading and clearing services and enhancing customer experience.

Through close collaboration with its shareholders — ELES, EPEX SPOT, EMS, and MAVIR — ADEX is committed to advancing pan-European Market Coupling, supporting the energy transition, and integrating regional markets.
